Hey guys and welcome back!
Hopefully you read the first two to get a bit of info from me but if you’re just joining that’s totally cool today.
I didn’t write a post yesterday so I’ll briefly talk about that before I get into stuff about today. I started out my day with some volunteering, you know the usual for me I guess. I was at a senior home working on a super cool psychology study doing field research. Unfortunately I can’t give too much away but it’s been really good and I think old people are super cute. Old people and babies actually, super cute.
From there, I went straight to school because when am I not at school. It was a pretty boring and uneventful day other than that. I had my last class of my academic year at school so that was pretty good! I caught up on some TV shows because I wasn’t watching any when I was doing finals and yeah it was pretty chill.
Okay, so I woke up at 5am (rip) because I had work at 5:30. If I didn’t already mention it, I’m a lifeguard. So that’s fun, I get to see all my friends (not really) the regulars that come in at 6am.
I went to school today and had a long chat with my sister because she loves to tell me stories (if you can relate, let me know). She basically told me about her experiences at a concert that she went to yesterday so that was chill. I mean it was pretty crazy, the experience that she had but it was chill that she told me.
I also met this girl today, let’s call her May. So May is in her second year in Psychology as well and she had an appointment with an academic advisor. The advisor told her basically about volunteering within the department because I’m quite involved and my supervisor, let’s call him Brendan basically told her that I was super involved and that I could talk to her. He’s the type that volunteers people for things all the time. Anyways, so I chatted with her about my student union (which I am an executive for) and about volunteering in general for the department with me. I love that I’m helping make a difference in other people’s communities.
- I helped out a new person today to learn about volunteering and express my knowledge to her to ultimately help her build her resume.
- I had a really positive experience with the exercise class I taught. All of that ladies had really nice things to say about my teaching.
- I got to handle some lab animals today and they’re super cute! š
